Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven VP of Marketing with a background in revenue management to oversee the vacation rental marketing and revenue management functions for the organization, reporting directly to the owner. You'll ensure that all marketing and pricing strategies are aligned to drive occupancy, profitability, and long-term growth.

You'll work in close partnership with our VP of Brand, Creative Strategy & Business Development , who oversees content, visual identity, storytelling, and owner-facing marketing. The VP of Brand reports into this role, and together you'll lead an integrated marketing organization that combines performance, creativity, and owner engagement. What You'll Do   

  • Lead and structure high-performing marketing and revenue teams , setting clear goals, standardizing processes, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation. 
  • Own performance marketing strategy and execution across Google Ads, Meta, paid social, and CRM/lifecycle. 
  • Own the company's full-funnel marketing and revenue strategy —including paid media, email/CRM, OTAs, website conversion, and demand planning—to maximize bookings and owner revenue. You'll partner closely with the VP of Brand & Creative Strategy, who leads execution of visual content, storytelling, and community-building efforts under your strategic direction. 
  • Oversee pricing strategies , demand forecasting, and revenue optimization across all distribution channels 
  • Manage OTA performance — including listing strategy, cancellation policies, and promotions. 
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, guest services, finance, and ownership to align on business priorities and revenue outcomes. 
  • Own and set department budgets , make data-driven allocation decisions, and ensure spend is aligned with ROI. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years in marketing, revenue, or growth leadership roles, ideally in the vacation rental, hospitality, or travel industries and 4+ years in senior leadership roles 
  • Strong understanding of revenue management fundamentals — ADR, RevPAR, pacing, booking window dynamics 
  • Deep understanding of OTA platforms (VRBO, Airbnb, Expedia, Booking.com and similar) and listing optimization techniques that drive visibility and revenue. 
  • Demonstrated ability to scale direct booking channels managing strategy for SEO, SEM, digital ads, email marketing, and website functionality 
  • Experience leading remote or hybrid teams with a clear, accountable, and collaborative management style. 
  • Excellent communicator —skilled in briefing ownership, collaborating cross-functionally, and leading internal/external teams with high interpersonal skills 
  • Strong financial acumen—confident in budget ownership, ROI tracking, and contract negotiation. 
  • A data-driven mindset and a healthy disregard for the phrase “that's just how we've always done it.” You challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement. 
  • Experience with is a plus: GA4, Mailchimp, Hubspot, SEMRush, Reva, Rentals United, BookingPal, Meta & Google Ads, and a variety of digital marketing and content platforms.
