Job Description

Spectra Tech has an immediate need for a Waste Engineer in Oak Ridge, TN.

This position shall provide full-time professional and technical support services both in the field and in professional settings to all internal customers (i.e. waste generators and special project teams) as a representative of the Waste Management organization.

This person shall develop waste management plan, sampling and analysis plans, perform characterization activities, determine packaging requirements, field walkdowns, and identify accumulation requirements to ensure compliant storage, transportation, and disposal. Must have solid background working with RCRA, PCB, asbestos, and DOT regulations, and DOE orders, as they relate to hazardous and radiological waste management. Must also have working knowledge of disposal facility waste acceptance criteria/process.

5+ years of experience.

Y-12 site specific experience is preferred.

Experience in off-site disposition of classified waste and weapon material is preferred.

No per diem or relocation offered with this position.
