Software Development Intern (Frontend Developer & Data Ingestion)

We are seeking Computer Science software Development intern (in their 3rd or 4th year undergraduate study or 1st/2nd year of their master's study) with a background in Computer Science, Frontend development and Data Ingestion to join the custom GPT project for an AI-powered assistant. This is a hands-on, full-cycle development opportunity where interns will work on a meaningful and impactful AI product.

Duration: 8 Weeks Location: Remote or [Insert Office Location] Start Date: July 1st

Compensation: unpaid

Responsibilities:

• Build and refine the web-based chatbot interface using React, Tailwind, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Integrate frontend with backend APIs for query handling and result rendering.
• Develop scrapers or ETL pipelines to ingest grants data from Grants.gov and state/local portals.
• Assist in presenting grant results, filters, and application guidance in a user-friendly format. Preferred Skills:
• Experience with React.js, Tailwind CSS, and modern frontend tooling.
• Knowledge of web scraping using BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or Scrapy.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and version control (Git).
• Ability to design user-friendly interfaces with accessibility in mind.
