Job Description

DESCRIPTION

As part of the AWS Solutions organization, we have a vision to provide business applications, leveraging Amazon’s unique experience and expertise, that are used by millions of companies worldwide to manage day-to-day operations. We will accomplish this by accelerating our customers’ businesses through delivery of intuitive and differentiated technology solutions that solve enduring business challenges. We blend vision with curiosity and Amazon’s real-world experience to build opinionated, turnkey solutions. Where customers prefer to buy over build, we become their trusted partner with solutions that are no-brainers to buy and easy to use.

AWS HealthImaging is a HIPAA-eligible service that helps healthcare and life science organizations and their software partners to store, analyze, and share medical imaging data at petabyte scale. Our mission is to provide the best experience for working with medical imaging in the cloud. As part of this mission, we leverage customer obsession and technologies to help customers analyze vast volumes of medical imaging data accrued in their enterprise archives.

AWS HealthImaging increases the pace of innovation for radiologists, health systems, and research teams. We are looking for strong software engineers to help unlock the potential of imaging data, develop more personalized approaches to care delivery, and operational efficiency. Individuals interested in this position should have experience building high-performing, reliable systems in a complex, multi-tenancy, and distributed environment in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll thrive in this role if you are interested in building highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems, and low latency request processing. You are capable in one or more programming languages and open to learning new ones. You value operational sustainability and advocate for eliminating flaky tests as soon as possible. You also think having fun goes together with tackling hard problems like high availability, streaming, and building loosely coupled micro-services all while continuing to securely and reliably handling massive traffic with millisecond latency. Responsibilities include driving architecture, design and implementation of complex components while maintaining a bar on quality, security, and mentoring junior developers within the team.
