The Role

The Social Media Manager is responsible for developing and executing a social media strategy that is storytelling driven, community first, and highly experimental. You are someone who understands internet culture, the Christian space, and can tie the two together through highly relatable and inspirational content. As a core member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for building and nurturing our community on our social channels to build brand love.

The ideal candidate should be well versed in ideating social media content with a proven track record of highly engaging posts across various social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube. You understand brands need to have an original point of view, and not just jump on bandwagon trends. You should be highly driven and self-motivated, with a keen eye on performance and results. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Reimagine and implement a new strategy for Glorify’s social media channels

  • Develop original and repeatable content ideas for Glorify that amplify our mission, brand story and product

  • Be constantly testing and developing new ideas - whether that is experimenting with new platform features, a new content format, or partnering with influencers – you’ll consistently dive into new ways to build and engage our audience

  • Evaluate content performance and make adjustments to improve engagement and hit growth targets

  • Ensure our content meets our brand guidelines and quality standards

  • Develop and grow an online community of Glorify users

  • Work closely with our creative team, content creators, and agencies to build out the content. Bonus points if you are also a content creator.

  • Manage and optimize Glorify's influencer marketing

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have

  • 3-5 years social media experience at a major brand or creator account

  • Video portfolio that includes long and short format content

  • A strong track record of building highly engaging content - you will be able to point to real data that show the success of your campaigns / ideas

  • Experience managing multiple influencer/partner relationships and content, ensuring they are on-brief and managing the end-to-end relationship with them including contract negotiation, relationship building and ensuring deadlines and targets are met and to a high standard

  • You will have an understanding of the Christian space and be curious about it - you need to be hungry to learn this space and our audience / user base

  • Proven interpersonal skills and passion for engaging with our social media communities

  • You will be a team player and will be prepared for a 'sleeves rolled up' attitude to your role
