Are you a savvy TikTok native who’s ambitious enough to define a new category and change how society talks about masculinity, sex, and mental health? If the idea of joining a venture-backed consumer company that tackles a rarely discussed issue impacting billions of people excites you, our Social Media Manager role might be for you.

We’re looking for a type of person rather than specific experience. To drive this mission forward, we want someone who can build a high-growth content machine across our owned marketing channels. That means you might be straight out of college and have personal experience of building social media accounts. Maybe you have experience as a social media exec but are feeling a ceiling and want more ownership over the strategy? Or you could have worked for a startup already and had experience building their influencer or ambassador programs. Whatever you are, we need someone who has an excellent eye for social and is an out and out hustler. Capable of building relationships with creators and freelancers and then making sure they deliver to the standard you expect.

The Role

You’ll work closely with the founders, report to our Director of Marketing, and take responsibility for our social media strategy. Yup, you will be driving content production and engagement across our owned channels. 

We are an app-first experience, meaning that our brand is touching lives across the world. But more than that, we are a mission-driven company, and our socials and what we say are helping us create a movement and the societal change we are looking for. You will be an integral part of that.

As we are an early-stage start-up, there is room for you to have a huge impact on the future of the company and a large amount of autonomy to shape your role and get stuck in. You should be comfortable adapting your role and responsibilities as the company grows. We expect this might consist of:

• Build a content machine that scales TikTok into a high-growth organic acquisition channel
• Establish us as a thought leader on masculinity, sex, and mental health
• Create a scalable and high velocity content production engine that is posting daily
• Maintain an active account, commenting and engaging with follower and other creators
• Source new creators each week, coordinate their contract and do a trial 
• Build and manage a creator partnership with other companies in our space 
• Lead point on asset delivery, feedback, and make sure they are paid and happy 
• Make our ambassadors feel loved - turn mercenaries to missionaries.

Requirements

We are building a team of people that have real ownership over the business. To be successful here, you should be willing to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty on anything that will help the business be more successful. 

You are:

• Super organized content producer with high agency and bias to action
• Obsessed with virality and knows the TikTok’s algorithm inside out
• Able to produce high quality videos rapidly 
• Someone with a relentless experimentation mindset, not afraid of failure
• A creative storyteller able to come up with new content briefs
• A relationship builder, able to manage creators and influencers
• Compassion, empathy, understanding, or interest in mental health
• Ability to keep up-to-date with the latest tools and trends
