Program Overview

Scientific, engineering, and acoustic data analysis in support of the U.S. Navy's Signatures Directorate. Operations include assisting with submarine sonar sensor testing, designing acoustic measurement systems, developing signature materials, and performing research and development for the fleet.

About The Role

This is a Scientific Software development position on-site at our customer site NSWC Carderock in West Bethesda, MD.

Peraton is hiring a Software Developer to work within a Government-Contractor team to maintain and expand an important US Navy modeling package.  This position will be responsible for the following:

• Maintenance, development, and testing of a large-scale C# application that performs acoustic modeling of large scale Naval structures. 
• Daily interaction with USN customers to review priorities, development status, and emergent issues
• Assist users ranging from PhD power users to beginners with questions and issues on the software
• Work with USN IA personnel on security and Authority to Operate questions

Qualifications

5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience with C# in a MS Windows environment
• Strong math background
• Ability to manage priorities and communicate with a diverse customer base
• SECRET Clearance

Desired :

• MATLAB experience
• IAT II Certification

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
