This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Upwind Security. We are currently looking for a Sales Engineer (North Central) in the United States.

We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to bridge technical expertise with customer needs in the cloud security domain. In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales teams to understand client requirements, design tailored solutions, and guide proof-of-concept demonstrations. You will provide technical insights throughout the sales cycle, ensuring customers receive the best possible solutions for their cloud security challenges. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while making a meaningful impact on strategic deals and customer success. Accountabilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of cloud security products and services.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to analyze customer requirements and craft tailored technical solutions.
  • Lead and manage proof-of-concept (POC) engagements to demonstrate solution effectiveness.
  • Provide ongoing technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and product development teams, providing insights to improve solutions.
  • Present technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences, highlighting business value.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, cloud platforms, and security best practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sales Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar technical presales role.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing, cybersecurity principles, and industry best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools, Kubernetes, and containerization is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
