Position Overview
Under the direction of the Safety Director, the Safety Manager oversees and provides technical and compliance expertise to the field managers and employees in terms of good safety habits and provide direction and skills for a safe work environment within the ready mix concrete division. This position works closely with all levels of management and personnel to achieve goals and support the safety of each of the company’s business units.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Investigate all incidents and lead event learning teams.
Conduct job site and plant safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA 1910 General and 1926 Construction industries.
Lead plant and roadway incident investigations and document all accidents, safety violations, injuries, and unsafe conditions/activities to find root cause and make recommendations for improvement.
Oversee and direct the work of field safety representatives.

Must have a valid, state issued driver’s license.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
OSHA Authorized Trainer 10 and 30 Hour (General and Construction)
