The Role:
As a Commercial Construction Project Manager, you will manage all aspects of project planning and execution for a diverse range of commercial construction projects. This includes overseeing project planning, cost management, scheduling, quality assurance, and safety management. You'll collaborate with a variety of teams, ensuring all aspects of the project adhere to contract specifications and quality standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key, as you’ll be working closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the construction phase, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project owners, architects, engineers, and clients
  • Manage project teams, including superintendents, coordinators, and subcontractors
  • Prepare weekly progress reports and attend weekly project meetings
  • Coordinate permits and review design documents for conflicts
  • Manage bid analysis and contractor performance
  • Monitor and manage project budget, schedules, and compliance with contract terms
  • Use project management software (Procore, Timberline) for reporting and coordination

Background Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in commercial construction
  • Strong knowledge of K-12, Higher Education, Office, Hospital, Medical, and Hospitality projects (multi-family experience is not a good fit)
  • Ability to read and understand contracts, plans, and specifications
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in MS Office and project management tools like Procore and Timberline
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
