As a Project Manager supporting the Department of Energy, you will be trusted to work on complex projects and be responsible Providing technical, administrative, and operational management of a variety of development efforts and projects ranging from simple to complex.

  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational management of a variety of development efforts and projects ranging from simple to complex.
  • Supervise assigned project teams to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and on budget, as well as within authorized scope.
  • Drive the development of high-level project plans, proposals, reports, and reporting.
  • Conduct planning activities and provide recommendations to client on task workload.
  • Document MS Project Schedules for Waterfall efforts.
  • Analyze user and stakeholder needs to determine alignment with business and functional requirements for a variety of electronic health record systems and applications.
  • Attend and schedule customer meetings, keep and deliver meeting notes, and serve as primary client liaison for their assigned projects.
  • Coordinate the involvement of appropriate subject matter experts across the project lifecycle, as needed.
  • Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.
  • Write and update project documentation including user manuals, presentations, and training materials.
  • Respond to inquiries from the client, technicians, and other customers.
  • Perform quality control and ensure quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Submit project status and other assigned reports to the PMO and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Occasional travel may be required. Your success will be measured through successful delivery of VTC infrastructure and related projects

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related technical or clinical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
  • 10+ years of related work experience.
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP) or Agile certification such as Scrum Alliance CSM or Scaled Agile SAFe preferred.
  • Experience managing change control activities, including product backlogs, scope management, and impact and gap analysis.
  • Knowledge of system development methodology and project management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with JIRA or ServiceNow tools preferred
  • Experience managing multi-team development efforts.
  • Proven ability to work on a remote/distributed team.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines.

The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
