Job Description

Accurately obtain and verify insurance benefits available for potential and existing patients, utilizing various systems.
Performs tasks like: Contacting insurance companies via telephone to verify patient coverage and obtain information concerning the extent of benefits; Confirming with insurance companies that authorizations and pre-certifications have been obtained and follows up with any pending authorizations/pre-certs in a timely manner; Communicates the findings of the verification process in a timely manner to necessary team members, patient (or responsible party), physicians office, etc.;

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• One (1) or more year dealing with health insurance 
  
• Must be able to understand, articulate and translate insurance verbiage
  

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

• Three (3) or more years experience in a similar role
