Title: Part-time/Freelance Graphic Designer

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Quickly learn Chip’s design language and brand elements.
  • Create high-quality designs across various media types: print/web deliverables, promotions, branding, social media, digital ads, marketing collateral, in-store signage.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, DALL·E, etc.) to ideate, prototype, and generate on-brand visual assets efficiently.
  • Run photo and video shoots. Create shot lists and mood boards. Collect props, select talent, and work with photographers/videographers to ensure brand alignment.

  • Lead the design and development of assigned projects under minimal supervision: develop concepts, ensure accuracy, follow processes, meet deadlines, communicate with stakeholders, collaborate with other departments, and attend meetings.
  • Actively participate in brainstorms and critiques with the marketing team. Share ideas, give and receive feedback, and contribute to a team environment.
  • Stay current on design trends, programs, technologies, and innovations—especially in the use of AI and automation for design.

Requirements

  • BA/BFA in graphic design, or equivalent work experience. Portfolio must show strong proficiency in layout, typography, color theory, and creative storytelling.
  • Minimum of five years professional experience in graphic design. Marketing or advertising background is a plus.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, XD, Acrobat). Familiarity with AI design tools (e.g., Firefly, Midjourney, DALL·E, Canva Magic, etc.) preferred.
  • Understanding of Canva, HTML/CSS, or other DAM platforms is a bonus.
  • Strategic thinker with initiative, multitasking ability, and independence in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take on approximately 20–35 hours of work per week, with flexibility based on marketing calendar demand.
