Heidi’s Village is redefining animal welfare by filling the gaps between shelters, rescues, and the community. What You'll Do: As the Development Coordinator, you’ll wear many hats, support a variety of initiatives, and help create positive change for animals in need. Your day-to-day will include:

Donor Development (Virtuous Database)

  • Maintain accurate donor records, ensuring data integrity.
  • Generate reports and analyze giving patterns to support fundraising goals.
  • Develop and send communication to donors, including emails, newsletters, and print materials.
  • Conduct follow-up with donors, including thank-you notes, calls, and emails.

Social Media Management

  • Manage and update social media platforms (Meta, IG, LinkedIn, TikTok) in line with Heidi’s Village branding.
  • Create engaging content related to pets, staff, events, and partners.
  • Use platform analytics to assess performance and optimize strategies.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies for larger initiatives.
  • Manage advertising budgets and campaigns as needed.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Assist in organizing and executing a variety of events, including Pet Charity Walks, Fundraising Galas, Adoption Events, and Spay/Neuter Days.
  • Coordinate event logistics: venue setup, promotional materials, and contact information gathering.
  • Participate in weekend events and interact with animals and their owners.
  • Evaluate event performance to improve future planning and execution.

Grant Writing Assistance

  • Collaborate with the Development Director to identify and research grant opportunities.
  • Assist in writing, submitting, and tracking grant applications to ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Maintain organized records of all grant-related activities.

Other Duties as Assigned

  • Take on special projects as directed by the Development Director to support the overall mission of the organization.

What You Bring:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (nonprofit experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in managing social media beyond personal pages (portfolio required).
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar programs).
  • Strong writing skills, with experience in content creation and grant writing.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
