We're looking for a talented Copywriter to be the voice behind a major retail brand's membership program.In this exciting role, you'll create marketing copy that expertly balances key program messages and benefits with thoughtful storytelling. Your words will help our members understand how they can save money and live better through their membership. You'll join a passionate, collaborative creative team, working on projects from kick-off to hand-off that inform, inspire, and make a real difference in our members' everyday lives. This is a big opportunity, and we believe you're a big talent!Responsibilities: Craft Engaging Copy: Develop copy that speaks directly to our customers, highlighting the benefits of our membership program. You'll work across a wide range of assets, including paid and owned social channels, website content, emails, digital ads, in-store signage, printed mailers, and multi-channel campaigns. Embody Our Brand Voice: Gain a deep understanding of our brand's core principles, our membership program's advantages, and our creative copy voice, tone, and style guides. You'll apply this knowledge to create copy that supports key business goals. Manage Diverse Projects: Work on multiple copy projects simultaneously, each with varying timelines, complexity, and business importance. Develop Customer-Centric Content: Create compelling, customer-centric copy based on approved program messaging and legal requirements. Collaborate Creatively: Partner closely with Design and other team members to develop innovative creative solutions that meet business objectives. Refine and Iterate: Make edits and revisions based on input from various partners, including marketers, site managers, editors, and the Copy Lead. Embrace Feedback: Approach feedback from copy leadership and partners with a positive, collaborative attitude, always seeking to learn and grow. Proactive Engagement: Actively participate in project kick-off and follow-up meetings, asking proactive questions, seeking clarity, and anticipating necessary information to compose effective copy. Optimize for All Channels: Consider character limitations and design constraints when creating copy, and collaborate with editors to ensure impeccable writing and grammar. Be a Self-Starter: Maintain a positive, can-do attitude. You're comfortable seeking answers to ambiguous requests, working autonomously, and quickly adapting to changing business needs. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, Advertising, English, or a related field, plus 1+ year of copywriting experience OR 2+ years of dedicated copywriting experience. 2+ years of copywriting experience in an e-commerce environment or with a creative agency. Skilled Copywriter: Ability to create detail-oriented copy that seamlessly balances program and legal requirements with a conversational, storytelling approach. Independent & Collaborative: Proven ability to work autonomously and manage your own projects, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment. Team Player: A true team player with a positive, "can-do" attitude. Bonus Points: Prior experience with loyalty or membership programs is a definite plus!
