**CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER - California High Speed Rail - Fresno, California**
**POSITION OVERVIEW:**
Looking for a role where your construction engineering experience will make an immediate impact on construction progress? **The CA High Speed Rail** - CP1 Project is a large-scale design-build project in **Fresno, CA** with on-going design and construction work. We are seeking to hire a **full-time Construction Engineer** that will perform construction support as part of our Engineering Services During Construction (ESDC) effort. Daily tasks will allow construction to proceed, resolve field issues, and coordinate with the design team. **This is an in-person role based locally in our Fresno, California office.**
**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES** :
+ Performs difficult and very complex field engineering assignments involving the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.
+ Review construction team and subcontractor work plans for conformance to design drawings, specifications, standards, and other material requirements
+ Review supplier product drawing submittals and construction shop drawings.
+ Review construction submittals and process through ESDC process
+ Work with Engineer to resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for field issues
+ Coordinate with Design Engineer regarding field Request for Information (RFI) responses
+ Review construction as-builts
+ Ensure work plans match engineering information from CAD drawings.
+ Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, and estimates
+ Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for construction purposes.
+ Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as construction team.
+ Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff. Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
+ Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinates application of solutions.
+ Organizes the accumulation of assigned discipline data for the final project turnover and report.
+ Initiates and maintains records, back-charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.
+ Interfaces with the construction team, client and upper-level management.
+ Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:**
+ 4-year degree in engineering, or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 8 years or more of experience in field construction is required. Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.
**SKILLS/COMPETENCIES** :
+ Requires a comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as industry practices. Knowledge of AREMA, PG&E and other utility standards are a plus. Also requires excellent written and oral communication skills, a familiarity with Bluebeam, CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering and construction, and the proven ability for performing in a lead capacity on a project.

Salary Range: $62,300.00 - $109,000.00
