Job Title: Auto Dealership Detailer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Dealership Detailer to join our team and help us in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of our vehicles for sale. The ideal candidate should have a passion for automotive detailing, possess exceptional attention to detail, and be committed to delivering the highest standard of service to our customers. As an Auto Dealership Detailer, you will be responsible for conducting thorough vehicle inspections, performing car washes, interior/exterior detailing, and ensuring each vehicle is showroom-ready.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles to identify areas that require cleaning, detailing, or repairs
- Perform thorough car washes and exterior cleaning to remove dirt, grime, and debris
- Vacuum, shampoo, and steam clean vehicle interiors to remove stains, dust, and odors
- Utilize appropriate cleaning products, tools, and equipment to achieve optimal detailing results
- Polish and wax vehicle exteriors to enhance their shine and protect the paintwork
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces to eliminate streaks and smudges
- Utilize air compressors and pressure washers to clean hard-to-reach areas effectively
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and inform management of any supply needs
- Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure vehicles are ready for customer viewings and test drives
- Assist with the organization of vehicle lot, parking, and movement of cars as required
- Report any damages, mechanical issues, or safety concerns discovered during the detailing process
- Follow dealership procedures and standards to uphold the brand reputation
- Stay updated with industry trends and techniques to continually improve detailing skills
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in automotive detailing preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cleaning products, tools, and equipment used in automotive detailing
- Ability to analyze and assess vehicle condition and perform necessary detailing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to excellence in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and maintenance is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
