Orbital ATK is currently seeking several Temporary Production Technicians to provide support to our Operations team in our Clearfield offices.
NOTE: This is a temporary employee position. Hours are part-time.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
As a Production Technician you work on the next generation composite structures.
This job involves the fabrication of composite hardware using hand layup method. It will also require development of skills to follow that hardware through sanding and drilling operations and up to final finishing and sell to customer.
Experience Requirements:
•Candidate must have 0-2 years of experience in aerospace or manufacturing environment and/or hand tools.
Education/Certifications:
•High School Diploma or equivalent GED (education will be verified)
Skills & Qualifications:
•Must be able to work part-time hours during the day shift (6:00 am – 6:30pm) or night shift (6:00 pm – 6:30am)
•Must be able to work flexible and changing shift schedules
•Must be able to work weekends
•Must be able to use standard measuring equipment
•Must be able to use power hand tools
•Must be able to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures
•Proficient in Microsoft applications
•Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Preferred Experience:
•Composite experience and/or certification preferred
•Previous composite, manufacturing, or production experience preferred
