Immediate need for an Applications Engineering Manager who will lead a team of Applications Engineers for a successful, stable, and growing manufacturer that has been in business for over 70 years. This person will lead a team of 5-7 Applications Engineers for a $150M division of a 5B+ global diversified manufacturer. This is a fast-paced position that will serve as the lead go-between between sales/customers and engineering. We seek a project-oriented professional who will be in charge of not only existing product lines but making changes to existing product lines to enhance overall customer experience and end-user products.

Select Responsibilities:
Manage the Applications Engineering Team supporting all customer interaction.
Ensures the team is responsive to customer related requests.
Manage the expense budget
Ensures the team takes corrective action for customer quality/performance issues
Build new business case for potential opportunities
Provide input on the development of new products and existing product line changes

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering related field strongly preferred
2+ years of management experience
5+ years of engineering related experience
Strong project management experience and skills required
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement initiatives preferred.
Knowledge of blending/mixing/extrusion processes preferred
