Job Summary: The Accounting Assistant II maintains accurate financial records. Provides accounting and bookkeeping support. Assist University staff in understanding industry standards, current laws, and university policy as it relates to the financial affairs of the University. Provides guidance and trains entry-level Accounting Assistants.
Additional Department Summary: Manages accounts payable functions for the Crimson Tide Foundation. Processes A-Club Memberships. Maintains the A-Club database. Assists with events as needed (reunions, golf tournaments, etc.). Assists in the A-Club room on Football game days.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience; OR associate's degree or higher.
Skills and Knowledge: Good public relations and interpersonal skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use personal computer for word processing and other standard software packages.
